 World-class education is not simply a slogan that needs to be thrown around at election time but what we need to strive to achieve for our children to compete within our growing global economy. As our country slips in world education and particularly our state ranks near the bottom in national education, we must work together to make our district the best in the state and build a template to improve our standing within the nation.

The status quo of “we address the problems of today over the next few years” is the reason we are where we are today.  We must present valid and viable options for our children.  We are not the future, our children are. We must realize that for the future to be bright, we have to start from the ground up and rebuild our educational values to represent the needs of the 22^nd century, not the views of the 19^th century.

Educational attainment is ion each child to succeed, therefore we must build an environment within each community that puts our children first and not personal aspirations of what we believe the future to be.

We must promise ourselves that each child has the ability to obtain a world-class education and build our district around that philosophy.  We all moved to Sahuarita because we wanted better for our children, now we must insure we deliver so that our community continues to thrive.

We must be honest and forthright concerning all issues affecting our children and the education promised to them.  Bureaucracy must be kept to a minimum and never again used as ‘the’ standard answer for every problem we encounter because we are the bureaucracy that limits our children.

There are no quick fixes or easy answers.  A promise for a world-class education can only be delivered from a community that is active, involved and stands up to challenge “the status quo” to be heard so we can insure our children are First!

La educación a nivel mundial no es simplemente un eslogan que hay que mencionar en tiempos de elecciones sino una meta que tenemos que intentar alcanzar para que nuestros niños puedan competir dentro de la economía global creciente. Mientras nuestro país pierde su lugar en cuanto a la educación a nivel mundial y además nuestro estado está casi el último en cuanto a la educación a nivel nacional, debemos trabajar juntos para que nuestro distrito sea el mejor del estado y construir un modelo para mejorar nuestro lugar en el país.

La actitud actual de "abordamos los problemas de hoy durante los próximos años” es el motivo por el cual estamos en donde estamos hoy. Debemos presentarles opciones válidas y viables a nuestros niños. Debemos darnos cuenta que para que el futuro sea optimista, tenemos que empezar desde el principio y volver a crear nuestros valores educativos para que representen las necesidades del siglo 22, no los puntos de vista del siglo 19.

Le toca a cada niño alcanzar logros académicos, y por eso debemos crear un ambiente en cada comunidad que coloca a nuestros niños en primer lugar y no las metas personales de lo que creemos que será el futuro.

Tenemos que prometernos que cada niño tenga la capacidad de obtener una educación al nivel mundial y tenemos que construir nuestro distrito basado en esa filosofía. Todos nos trasladamos a Sahuarita porque queríamos lo mejor para nuestros hijos, y ahora tenemos que asegurar que lo así se haga, para que continúe progresando nuestra comunidad.

Tenemos que ser honestos y francos en cuanto a todos los asuntos que afectan a nuestros niños y la educación que se les prometió. Hay que mantener al mínimo la burocracia y no se debe usar la burocracia nunca como la respuesta estándar a cada problema que encontramos, porque somos la burocracia que les limita a nuestros niños.

No hay soluciones rápidas ni respuestas fáciles. Sólo puede cumplir la promesa de una educación a nivel mundial una comunidad activa, involucrada y que se enfrenta a “la condición actual” para hacerse escuchar para que podamos asegurar que ¡los niños sean los primeros!
