Tracy Benson - Systems Thinking in Schools
Tracy Benson is manager of the Systems Thinking in Schools special program sponsored by The Waters Foundation (www.watersfoundation.org). She has worked nationally and internationally to bring the value of a systems thinking approach to educational leadership, organizational culture and climate, and classroom teaching and learning. Her systems thinking work includes professional development training, coaching, published writing, research, retreat and meeting facilitation and speaking engagements.
In 2001, she earned a doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Arizona. Over the past 30 years, her work experience spans all levels, preK through university, and involved teaching, administrative and consulting positions. Tracy believes that individuals of all ages deserve to be members of learning communities that thrive on collegiality, embrace problems as worthy challenges and view efficacy as limitless. Tracy is known for her hands-on approach to teaching and learning, and believes strongly in the benefits of experiential engagement.
